What’s New in AnyWhere Elementor Pro 2.3?

We have released an update of our plugin AnyWhere Elementor Pro. There are some new features, some UX enhancements and a new theme added to the list of supported themes.
Here are some of the major features.

Global Category & Custom Taxonomy Archives

We have added a feature to create category/taxonomy archive layouts in the previous version of our plugin. Although it was highly appreciated feature and also a pain for those who have a lot of categories or terms in their custom taxonomy. You have to create a layout of each category and then assign it to your category. Now even if you create the layouts for all categories by duplicating them and making the minor change as required, there was no way to keep the changes in sync. And this goes completely against the root idea of AnyWhere Elementor Pro.
So we have made some changes in our existing widget to make global category layouts a reality.

• In the configuration area of AE Template, you can choose Preview Category (more precisely ‘Preview Term’). This will be used as preview category while designing global category layout. (It’s similar to Preview Post using in Single Post Templates)
• AE Post Title widget has been renamed to ‘AE – Title’ with an added facility to show Archive Page Titles dynamically. This one you can use to show Category title on your global category layout.
• AE Post Block widget has also got some enhancement. Under “Source” settings there is now a new option “Current Loop”. While designing the layout for Category you will have to choose this and it will smartly show the post from the current category on which this template is applied.

Support for a new theme – Astra

This is a new theme but already famous in WordPress community. Recently polls were running in various wordpress related fb groups about the preferred theme to use with Page Builders. And the only one that seems to be competing with GeneratePress and OceanWp is Astra. After getting a lot of requests to add support for Astra, we were left with no choice :).
Integrating a theme in AE Pro involves a deep analysis of theme’s code.  And for Astra we must say that it is a very well coded, flexible and light-weighted theme.

Search Page Customization

Another new feature added in AE Pro 2.3 is an option to customize Search Page layout with Elementor. An addition Seach Form widget is also available now.

Breadcrumb Widget

If you Yoast SEO plugin installed, then you will see a Breadcrumb widget in the widget list. This will show yoast breadcrumb.
